Special Interest Tours 3 - The ultimate Uganda Safari

A twelve day safari from Entebbe, visiting the Mountain Gorillas in Uganda (Bwindi Impenetrable Forest) or Rwanda, plus Chimpanzee trekking in the forests of Kibale or Chamburu Gorge, visiting the orphaned chimps on Ngamba Island Chimpanzee sanctuary, game viewing in the Queen Elizabeth National Park, and visiting the famous Murchison Falls National Park on the Nile River. All meals on safari are provided, bed & breakfast only in Entebbe (first night).

ITINERARY

Day 1 - Entebbe - Lake Victoria Hotel (B)
Arrival to Entebbe, reception at the airport and transfer to Lake Victoria Hotel/Boma Guest Lodge.

Day 2 - Murchison Falls National Park (BLD)
6 to 7 hours drive Drive to the Murchison Falls, Uganda's largest national park. Overnight at Nile Safari luxury tented camp or Paraa Lodge.

Day 3 - Murchison Falls National Park (BLD)
Game drives & boat cruise. In the lush grassland to the north of the Nile, elephant, buffalo, giraffe and a variety of antelope are regularly encountered on game drives, while lion are seen with increasing frequency. Overnight at Nile Safari luxury tented camp or Paraa Lodge.

Day 4 - Murchison Falls National Park (BLD)
Explore the southern region of the park near Budongo Forest. Visit Kaniyo Pabidi Ecotourist site. Overnight Murchison Falls NP or Masindi.

Day 5 - Kibale Forest (BLD)
Drive to Kibale Forest (full day drive). Chimp trekking & bird watching. Overnight tented camp or Ndali Lodge. FB.

Day 6 - Kibale Forest (BLD)
Chimp trekking & bird watching. Overnight tented camp or Ndali Lodge.

Day 7 - Queen Elizabeth National Park (BLD)
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park (3 to 4 hour drive). Game drives, boat cruise, chimp trekking, bird-watching.
Overnight at Mweya or Jacana Lodge. FB

Day 8 - Queen Elizabeth National Park (BLD)
Drive to Ishasha region of Queen Elizabeth National Park, game drives. Overnight tented camp.

Day 9 - Bwindi Forest (BLD)
Morning game drive, Ishasha, to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (or Rwanda). Overnight lodge or upgrade to Gorilla Forest Camp.

Day 10 - Bwindi Forest (BLD)
Gorilla trekking (permit cost extra - US$360). Overnight at lodge or upgrade to Gorilla Forest Camp.

Day 11 - Entebbe (BLD)
Return to Entebbe via Kampala markets (full-day drive). Overnight Lake Victoria Hotel. Option charter flight.

Day 12 � Depart
Ngamba Island Chimpanzee sanctuary excursion, bird watching and airport transfer.
