Amazing Voyages kept track of us every day and we cannot explain how important it was to us to feel that we were in very good hands. Every driver and guide was always on time and very gracious and helpful and our every need was taken care of for us. We really appreciate your professionalism.

The Plaza Grande in Quito is absolutely fabulous, the Royal Palm in the Galapagos is the best hotel we ever stayed in; the chef is outstanding, his meals are some of the best we ever had. Did you know that Prince Charles stayed there when he visited the islands? We are sure that the service we received was just as good as his. We had a marvelous time in the Galapagos and it was living a dream.

This evening you can savour a seasonal delicious meal at the hotel's tranquil restaurant.

After breakfast in the Blue Saloon, you will be collected from the hotel by your guide for a full day tour of Innsbruck and the surrounding area. Amongst other sights, you will visit Schloss Ambras, a castle set in the hills above the town and historically important for its connections with Archduke Ferdinand II, the Bergisel, a hill south of Innsbruck where the Sill River meets the Inn Valley affording sensational views of the surrounding mountains, and the Swarovski Crystal World where you can experience the fascinating three-dimensional adventure museum. You will pause for a well-deserved lunch in a local restaurant and once your tour is complete you have the remainder of the afternoon at your leisure. You may wish to take advantage of some of the hotel's facilities such as the outdoor swimming pool, sauna or perhaps take a soothing massage. After a busy day of sight-seeing you can relax over dinner in one of the hotel's restaurants.

Day 3: Innsbruck - Salzburg (B,D)
This morning you will be chaperoned to the Innsbruck train station where you can settle into your first class compartment for the scenic journey to Salzburg. On arrival in Mozart's attractive home city of Salzburg, you will be whisked off to the delightful Hotel Sacher in the very heart of the city on the banks of the River Salzach. After a welcome drink, your guide will provide you with a Salzburg Card, offering free use of public transportation and discounts on entrance fees. You will then be taken on a 2 hour walking tour of Salzburg and its UNESCO listed Old City, baroque churches and a guided tour of the world-renowned Festival House. Tonight you may choose to start the evening in style with a cocktail in the Piano Bar before enjoying a typically Austrian 3-course meal in one of the hotel's excellent restaurants.

Day 4: Salzburg (B,L)
Today your guide will collect you from your hotel once you have enjoyed an exquisite breakfast buffet in the Roter Salon, looking out over magnificent views of the Old Town church spires. You will be treated to a half day tour focusing on Mozart; you will visit both the house of his birth and his final residence. You will then be driven in your private car to the city's southern limits where the splendid 16th-century Hellbrunn Palace is situated; the Royal country residence is famous for its mischievous hidden fountains, but don't worry, your guide will point them out to you. After lunch at a traditional local restaurant, the afternoon is at your leisure to perhaps visit one of the many museums for which Salzburg is renowned (your guide will be more than happy to offer advice on attractions to visit). Tonight is a free evening for you to visit a restaurant of your choice, after which you might like to take a romantic night-time stroll around Salzburg.

Day 5: Salzburg (B,L,D)
After breakfast your guide will take you on a private tour of the picturesque Salzburg environs. Your excursion will include stops at scenic viewpoints at Salzkammergut, an enchanting lake and mountain landscape once frequented by Austrian emperors and noble families. You will pass through idyllic, romantic towns set on the lake edge with water so clear it is pure enough to drink. Lunch will be served at a regional restaurant, after which you will return to Salzburg for a leisurely afternoon to go shopping, have a relaxing massage or indulge in a slice of world famous Sacher-Torte (a chocolate cake for which the restaurant is celebrated). Tonight your guide will provide you tickets to a magical Mozart concert complete with evening meal.

The remainder of today is for you to relax and unwind; you can pamper yourselves at the hotel's intimate spa where 2 massages are complimentary. The hotel overlooks one of Austria's grandest lakes in which you can enjoy an invigorating swim, take a romantic boat ride or simply enjoy a nature walk around the shore. This evening you can enjoy a sumptuous 3-course meal at the hotel's Schloss restaurant, highly regarded for its freshly caught fish and regional Austrian delicacies.

Day 7: Lake Fuschl (B)
After breakfast on the terrace your guide will meet you for a classic "Old-timer Trip" during which you will learn much about the history surrounding the Kaiser Franz Josef & Kaiserin Sissi. The tour will visit the fashionable spa town of Bad Ischl which houses Kaiservilla, the summer residence and formal grounds belonging to Kaiser Franz Josef. This is where he signed the declaration of war against the Kingdom of Serbia which signaled the start of World War I. During the excursion you will pause for lunch and a coffee break, returning to Schloss Fuschl in the late afternoon. After a full day of sight-seeing, tonight is at your leisure for you to choose where you would like to dine.

Day 8: Lake Fuschl (B,D)
Today is set aside for your rest and relaxation. After taking a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, you can indulge in some complimentary spa treatments, relax on a sun-lounger on the jetty by the pool house or spend some time admiring the Schloss Fuschl art gallery. If you would prefer something a little more active, you may opt to play a round of golf at the nearby 18-hole championship course, go fishing on Lake Fuschl, join a class at the castle's cooking academy or go hiking in the breathtaking countryside.
