Amazing Voyages kept track of us every day and we cannot explain how important it was to us to feel that we were in very good hands. Every driver and guide was always on time and very gracious and helpful and our every need was taken care of for us. We really appreciate your professionalism.

The Plaza Grande in Quito is absolutely fabulous, the Royal Palm in the Galapagos is the best hotel we ever stayed in; the chef is outstanding, his meals are some of the best we ever had. Did you know that Prince Charles stayed there when he visited the islands? We are sure that the service we received was just as good as his. We had a marvelous time in the Galapagos and it was living a dream.

You will be met upon arrival at Ljubljana airport by your personal guide. He will then chaperone your private transfer north of the capital to Brnik, and the magnificently rustic and hospitable Jezersek Dvor Estate. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a round of golf at one of the most beautiful golf courses in Europe, after which you can have lunch in the club house. You can then experience a course learning the traditional techniques used painting Slovene bee hives (panjske koncnice) before driving the short distance to the gracious Grand Hotel Toplice, situated on the shore of Lake Bled offering spectacular views of a medieval cliff-top castle. The remainder of the afternoon is free for you to make use of the hotel's swimming pool or spa facilities, or to take a nature walk in this stunning setting. Before dinner at the Lectar Inn which serves typical Slovene dishes, you can enjoy some Snaps tasting at the Gorje tourist farm.

This afternoon you will take a private transfer to Goriska Brda. This region is Slovenia's very own Tuscany, a land of vineyards, cherries, peaches and chestnuts; you will have the opportunity to stimulate your taste buds and sample some fine wines from the celebrated Movia and Kabaj vineyards. After wine tasting, you will continue on to the tranquil Kabaj's Estate, your rest stop for the night, where you will be served dinner accompanied with local wines.

Your guide will take you to the famous landmarks and teach you about the history behind them, such as the Byzantine heritage of St Mark's Basilica, the adjoining prisons of the Doge's Palace, and the Rialto Bridge. After lunch you can either choose free time to explore the city further or to take an optional boat trip to the picturesque Murano and Burano Islands, renowned for their glassblowing industry and brightly painted fishermen's houses respectively.
